In the latest Diablo 4 livestream(opens in new tab) game director Joe Shely, along with assistant game director Joesph Piora as well as community manager Adam Fletcher gave fans an update on all things Diablo 4, as well as providing a peek into how things will function in advance of the game's release next summer.
During the livestream they discussed the Diablo 4 battle pass (around the 39:15 mark in the video below) as well as the forthcoming seasons in the game. "It's extremely important for us to balance with the features you'd find within the Battle Pass" Piepiora explained, "the way that they're engaging but also fair. We do not want to create any scenarios where players can feel that they're paying to win. "To draw a clear line of the battle pass from the seasons in Diablo 4 Piepiora explains that "the season journey is still an integral part of Diablo 4, in the manner that you encountered it in Diablo 3." The chapter-based mechanic gives players different goals throughout the season , and it will also allow players to earn rewards to their character. "All of the seasonal content is free.
